News: Tsukigumi Retirements

masahiSad news for Tsukigumi fans with the following retirements in December: Sena Jun, Ryouga Haruhi, Otoki Sunao, Shirosaki Ai, Atsuki Renka, Hazakura Shizuku and Urara Moe.
Of all of them, I'm quite sad about Ai-chan, simply because I had hopes she would turn into a character actress of epic standing in the company much like Izumo Aya did many moons ago. She's been one of my favourite Musumeyaku for a long while, and it'll be sad to see her go. Likewise, Ahi will be missed, simply for her presence and her ability to tower over every single other person in the troupe.
Asako, on the other hand, I'm glad to see go. When a performer is looking as sad and tired as she was, I think it's time for her to move onto better things. Good luck to all of them, though. And now, the intrigue about the new Tsukigumi Top Star commences anew.
