The essay is fascinating. It's interesting to see what's kept and omitted from the different versions of the musical. I've only ever seen the Takarazuka version, myself, but I've heard highlights from the German language production (yay imported CD!). How have you been able to watch all these different versions? Are there videos or DVDs available for purchase of the various productions, or have you seen them all live?
