1. Elisabeth! I got interested in that musical and decided to watch all the versions I could find.
2. Right now - Japanese, I think. ))) My English is already good enough to do everything I need, and while my Spanish is rusty and my French is terribly bad, I believe I'd get better if I needed them everyday. Also, I believe in my ability to learn European languages; Japanese, not so much.
3. That's so complicated! I don't think I have _one_, but Lord of the Rings is somewhere on the list, and Austen's Persuasion, and some of the Pratchetts, and some books by Diana Wynne Jones, and Sayers's Gaudy Night, and Sarah Caudwell's books...
4. I've been wondering about that for a long time - I started off with European musicals and I still find them better quality, but European musicals I enjoy, and Takarazuka I love. There's beautiful women, of course, but that alone isn't enough... a combination of things, I think. People I started to like and enjoy seeing; my fascination with Takarazuka as a setting (a bit like girls' school stories); the crackiness of their plots and ideas... and, I think, the whole glittery picture card prettiness of it all - the dream which is perfect in its irreality. Turned out just what I needed to lift up my mood; whatever they're selling, they got me (and it's kinda scary how much they got me - so weird to watch rehearsal videos and find yourself caring so much about the lives of people you've never met, whether they're all right and what way their lives are going to turn out. Yeah, I'm sold both on shows and on 'siennes - maybe _more_ on 'siennes).
5. My ideal home... close enough to a big city to use all its benefits, but surrounded by nature. Ideally here nearby on the Karelian Isthmus - I love the nature here, it's my eternal mental landscape, and it's close enough to get to Saint Petersburg if you have a car (which I don't have. and the infrastructure here is bad enough so you'd need much more money than just to buy/build a house to live like this)
