Nagina Ruumi's Transfer

I've been a little lax in my Zuka activity of late, I know, but I still keep one eye on proceedings, and I have to admit I'm secretly kind of delighted about Kacha's move to Tsukigumi. She's performed with them before, admittedly a few years ago, and worked well with them, and Soragumi just has too many strong upperclassman. I'm hoping this means they can see her potential to stay on the Star Track. I'll be writing to her sooner or later to squee anyway :)

Postcards

I've just realised that I have woefully neglected this particular journal of mine. I keep getting distracted by Life, which is always a tricky thing to negotiate with.

However, today I have cause to squee. The new postcards are up and Kacha is up to eight! On top of this, she is one of 5 Soragumi Otokoyaku who get cards, and given that two of them will shortly be leaving Soragumi, I can't help squee happily for my girl :)

I also was lucky enough to get a reijou last week, and on the whole, am on cloud nine on a fangirl front. Now, I just need to find a contact in J-land who is willing/able to grab the cards I don't have for me :)

Kacha-Squee!

A little package arrived for me a few days ago. For the first time, I own something that was not for sale in Quatre Reves or Taka-an! I have some beautiful photos of my girl in the Emperor Norton show :D The preciouses, they are pretty :) Also, Kacha should try imitating Chauvelin more often. She looks all Grr and Feisty, especially while fondling a sword :) I like. One day, I hope the show makes it to DVD, and failing that, would be quite happy with SkyStage.

Takarazuka Otokouta

So a CD has been released, featuring songs performed by various otokoyaku. Including my girl :D :D

Seriously, this on top of being the face of Ponds for Soragumi and getting postcards. She really is getting pimped all over the shop :)

Je Chante :D

Thanks to m'dear Beth, I now have my grubby hands on Je Chante, and this show is really raising a banner that Kacha could and may be a great Top Star of the future. I've only started watching bits due to wooze and head-spinning, but in the bits I've seen so far, she reminded me of young Komu with a side of Yuu-kun's comic timing but ery much inspired by the ladies who have led her troupe since her debut. I especially like 'Boum' :) Can't wait to sit down and watch the rest.

I've been writing to Kacha going on two years. She has just ensured that she has an utterly loyal fan in me for the next goodness knows how many :D Whee! (Not that she would have lost me, but whee! :D)

Casting - For Whom the Bell Tolls

So, a few weeks ago, I posted this:

I would love to see Kacha snag Rafael, the Gypsy rogue, who gets to sing in the camp. I have a suspicion that it might go to Tomochin, though. If Kacha gets Rafael or Joaquin (teen rebel who wanted to be a bullfighter), I would be more than happy.

I am clearly more than happy :) Plus, Tomochin as the singing gypsy = good.

However, I am also saddened by the news that Hoshihara Misao is retiring. I love Hoshi, and I was overjoyed when I heard I would be able to see her live this trip. And what a role for her to go out on. Maybe Pablo won't be as central as he was in the books, but since 'the Mayor' is mentioned, I really hope we get the flashbacks to young!Pablo before PTSD kicks in.

On the whole, though, am very pleased with the casting.

For Whom The Bell Speculation

Since I'll be seeing For Whom the Bell Tolls when I hit J-land in November, I figured I should read the book. I think I dislike Hemingway based on the half I've struggled through so far, but it at least gives me some thoughts on how the casting will go:

We have 3 roles cast so far - Yuuhi as Robert Jordan, Sumika as Maria and Tomu as Agustin. I'll admit I was a bit surprised on the Agustin part, but maybe he does more further into the book aside from being the snarky rebel who swears like a trooper. Seriously, every other word of his is replaced with something meaning 'unprintable'.

Hoshihara Misao and Kyou Misa are both on lease from Senka. In the 1978 version, a Senka lady played Pilar, which is a major senior female role. I suspect this will go to Misa, which would be so awesome :D Hoshi, I'm not sure about. It'll either be Anselmo or El Sordo.

I suspect Micchan will get Pablo, Pilar's husband who - according to everyone - has turned from being smart and brave leader into a coward, but who probably turns out decent in the end. He so far has spent a lot of time being snappish and glowery at Jordan. I will wait and see.

There are a slew of other names listed on the 1978-cast, some of whom I've only just reached in the book, so I really can't comment on them. Also, according to the 78 summary, there's a flashback, which would feature another male character. Dying. Guess which role I don't want a certain girlie to have.

Elisabeth Fanvid

Since I've got my video editor working again, I made a video which had been stuck in my head for weeks:

Strange Love - an Elisabeth fanvid

Unfortunately, I can't upload it on youtube with the sound, as copyright regulations blank it out. Kind of defeats the purpose, ni? But here, have an upload :)

Kachablanca

So, since I have clearly become a Kacha-fangirl of the highest order (or at least as much as I can be without actually being able to join the fanclub), this made me squee an awful lot:

Is it just me or does she sound a lot like Komu? I need to see this full shinjinkoen, so I can squee at her properly :)

Whereupon Kacha is Awesomesauce

This may take some backstory: Transferring to department of backstory. Please hold. )

So, I wrote to her last month (and only just posted another letter the other day, when her Bow Hall was announced), almost forgot about it, and today, I got in from the shops to an envelope with Japanese stamps on it. Blinked a few times, opened it, then ran around the flat flailing in glee. I have my first ever Takarazuka autograph. Personalised. To me :D To say I'm bouncing off the walls with glee might be an understatement :) (I think she liked the fudge...)
