See, I have no experience with the anime or manga beyond being able to recognise the art, so while I intellectually know that's wrong (from what I've heard of it), there probably isn't that same visceral "NO NO NO" that fans (or even those just more familiar with it) have -- but I can completely understand that reaction. (I threw things at my computer screen over one particularly bad adaptation. I better understand? XD )
... do wish they'd mix things up sometimes and change choreography, because the differences in acting styles only do so much to make something new and interesting -- and because I love comparatives. But sigh, that seems to be Simply Not Done.
